Things I learnt about running the UK Inter-counties Cross Country

Sunday, March 14th, 2010

1) Don’t go out too hard, and especially don’t finish the first lap ahead of Mo Farah, you should still feel fresh after half way and not like you are about to collapse!

2) Don’t do any sessions that are going to deplete you in the week before…maybe 10 days before!
3) Practice running on hills and [...]

Massive congrats to Nessie! My Triteam team mate had a really solid race to finish 4th in Abu Dhabi.
The race had a 3k /200k/ 20k format and to boot a fantastic prize purse.

Good start to the season Fraser….long may it continue!

Monday, March 1st, 2010

I raced the National Cross Country Champs at the weekend. (struggling a bit for photos but I found a few on FB)

I rocking in 23rd.  I was pretty happy with this. it’s a pretty solid result for me in the middle of my winter training and I finished with some big names in the sport. [...]

Congratulations Fraser and Mari:)

Sunday, January 17th, 2010

There really is not a lot to talk about at the moment my end.  My heads down (in the sun) I am swimming, biking and running every day and 2 times a week in the gym.  I have zero gossip, no one is ill, no one is injured and without any parties or racing not [...]

French GP – Australia

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

Got to Australia fine, bloody long flight, I really hate that journey but its a nice treat when you get here…its beautiful.
French Grand Prix went badly, It was a little bit inexplicable. I wasn’t hurting…just couldn’t get any more out.  I think its a combination of getting towards the end of the year and also [...]

This weekend

Sunday, August 23rd, 2009

I pulled up from London pretty well in the end.
One of my competitors and friends Clark Ellice is down from New Zealand, he’s a good athlete and were getting our heads stuck into this last block of training for just one more hard week this year and it’s gone really well so far. I think [...]

Thoughts on London

Tuesday, August 18th, 2009

London was an interesting race at the weekend. I rocked in 15th so obviously nothing to be proud of!
The swim was really fast this week, probably the fastest I have ever seen it.  It split up so quickly at the front I couldn’t believe it! Hence a good group of fast swimmers got away with [...]

This is Marco Rivera.  He raced us in the FGP in Dunkerque and a few other races where he was 30 secs off the front of 2nd place.  Guess what, I was watching the [...]

A Suprise Win at London :)

Monday, August 3rd, 2009

It’s funny! I’m always quick to write something when it’s going well! When it’s not necessarily going well…nothing! Same with a lot of people I think!
London went great at the weekend, I competed at the end of a difficult period for me, motivation wise I felt a bit low, I worked hard in Wales but [...]
