1st Lanzarote 70.3

Thursday, September 25th, 2014

I had an amazing week in Lanzarote. Took a big, hard earned win against some great athletes, caught up with 1/2 of the Uplace-BMC Team and spent lots of time relaxing before and after the race at the Active Sands Beach resort in the sun.  I have to say that things were really rolling in […]

2nd at South Africa 70.3.

Sunday, February 2nd, 2014

Hey everyone.  I’m just getting back to Stellenbosch after a pretty successful but epic weekend of racing in East London, South Africa.  I like coming to this race because it’s on my way to my favourite training destination and also gives me a chance to see where the form is at early in the year, […]

Finishing the season on the podium :-)

Monday, October 7th, 2013

This weekend I was competing in my last race for 2013 the Lanzarote 70.3. The last race of the year is never usually pretty for me. World Champs the biggest race of the year has usually been and gone and I start to get very tired and a little de-motivated. After 11 years racing I’ve […]

Thursday, September 12th, 2013

Well what a week that turned of to be…  A very tough, long weekend on the body that’s for sure and it certainly turned out to have a bit of everything in there. The whole experience was so much fun. My training in Boulder had gone really well in those 6 weeks leading in. It […]

Overdue Update

Friday, May 10th, 2013

Hey everyone, it’s certainly been a while since I’ve last updated my website blog properly, apologies for that. You might have noticed that with most bloggers they only really update when things are going well for themselves! I try not get into this habit as everybody has good and bad times this but this time […]

2nd at St Croix 70.3

Monday, May 6th, 2013

Super happy to finish on the podium of this prestigious 25 year old race today after what can only be described as completely BRUTAL conditions. I guess I happened to have a bit more luck than others today and survived the “Beauty and The Beast” with the fastest run split to boot! Congrats to Richie […]

Things I learnt about running the UK Inter-counties Cross Country

Sunday, March 14th, 2010

1) Don’t go out too hard, and especially don’t finish the first lap ahead of Mo Farah, you should still feel fresh after half way and not like you are about to collapse! 2) Don’t do any sessions that are going to deplete you in the week before…maybe 10 days before! 3) Practice running on […]

I raced the National Cross Country Champs at the weekend. (struggling a bit for photos but I found a few on FB) I rocking in 23rd.  I was pretty happy with this. it’s a pretty solid result for me in the middle of my winter training and I finished with some big names in the […]

Congratulations Fraser and Mari:)

Sunday, January 17th, 2010

There really is not a lot to talk about at the moment my end.  My heads down (in the sun) I am swimming, biking and running every day and 2 times a week in the gym.  I have zero gossip, no one is ill, no one is injured and without any parties or racing not […]

French GP – Australia

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

Got to Australia fine, bloody long flight, I really hate that journey but its a nice treat when you get here…its beautiful. French Grand Prix went badly, It was a little bit inexplicable. I wasn’t hurting…just couldn’t get any more out.  I think its a combination of getting towards the end of the year and […]

This weekend

Sunday, August 23rd, 2009

I pulled up from London pretty well in the end. One of my competitors and friends Clark Ellice is down from New Zealand, he’s a good athlete and were getting our heads stuck into this last block of training for just one more hard week this year and it’s gone really well so far. I […]

Thoughts on London

Tuesday, August 18th, 2009

London was an interesting race at the weekend. I rocked in 15th so obviously nothing to be proud of! The swim was really fast this week, probably the fastest I have ever seen it.  It split up so quickly at the front I couldn’t believe it! Hence a good group of fast swimmers got away […]

Fish people starting to infiltrate Triathlon!

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

The swims are getting faster, we knew that anyway…that was before these two rocked onto the scene! Can they really change things? This is Marco Rivera.  He raced us in the FGP in Dunkerque and a few other races where he was 30 secs off the front of 2nd place.  Guess what, I was watching […]

A Suprise Win at London :)

Monday, August 3rd, 2009

It’s funny! I’m always quick to write something when it’s going well! When it’s not necessarily going well…nothing! Same with a lot of people I think! London went great at the weekend, I competed at the end of a difficult period for me, motivation wise I felt a bit low, I worked hard in Wales […]
