National Duathlon Champs Silver.

Sunday, March 28th, 2010

Raced National Duathlon Champs as my first race of the season today.

Must say, it was bloody good to get racing and get away from the training phase if only for a short weekend.
It was a very windy and very exposed circuit, and a good field!  There was Tim and I, I guess as the favourites. [...]

Things I learnt about running the UK Inter-counties Cross Country

Sunday, March 14th, 2010

1) Don’t go out too hard, and especially don’t finish the first lap ahead of Mo Farah, you should still feel fresh after half way and not like you are about to collapse!

2) Don’t do any sessions that are going to deplete you in the week before…maybe 10 days before!
3) Practice running on hills and [...]

I love following this guys journey….
He ran 28:02 solo at the weekend in Trafford for the 9th fastest 10k ever by a Brit!
I knew Thommo a bit from Loughborough, I only ever managed to jump into a few sessions with him but I am pretty sure that he wasn’t any where near as fit as [...]
